At the beginning of the month, we trekked up to MI to celebrate Easter with Kris' family. The weather that weekend was unseasonably warm up there. I was braced for the norm...snow! But, watching the forecast in the days leading up to the drive up, I was cautiously optimistic. We enjoyed weather in the 60-70s the whole time we were there...crazy for Easter in Northern MI!
While there...
We had lunch out:

Celebrated Grandma Sharon's birthday:

The cake looked better before the licorice started breaking!

And colored a few eggs while wearing a couple of Grandma Donna's old shirts:

On Saturday evening, Kris and I decided to take the kids to the Easter Vigil at St. Paul's in Onaway. We were a little nervous about our decision given that the Easter Vigil has the potential to last up to 3 hours and it didn't start until a half hour past the kids' normal bed time. They did wonderfully, though, and they have even talked about the readings a couple of times since.
The next morning, we got up early and went to Grandma Donna's church for breakfast then home to check out the few goodies left by the Easter bunny:

Aunt Sherri arranged two additional egg hunts around the yard...one for the kids, one for the adults...she always has something up her sleeve!

And, a quick family pic before heading south:

And Kris got us home in record time. No, I am not bragging about that...SLOW DOWN!
